The history of two maisons, the former founded in 1952 by Egyptian-born Parisian designer Gaby Aghion and her partner Jacques Lenoir, the history of Barbour on the other hand began in 1894 with John Barbour who founded \u2018J. Barbour &amp; Sons, Tailors and Drapers\u2019 in South Shields and produced waterproof coats and jackets. The British company has also represented the Royal Family for decades. Family personalities who, over time, have given Barbour their value include\u00a0Lady Diana\u00a0in the past and\u00a0Kate Middleton\u00a0and Prince William today.<\/p>\n<p>Barbour jackets have always had a personal meaning for Chlo\u00e9\u2019s current Creative Director Gabriela Hearst, those jackets remind her of her family. Thus was born\u00a0<strong>Barbour x Chlo\u00e9<\/strong>, a collection designed by the French fashion house with reference to the Barbour archive dating back to 1910. Among the items in the collection are the Dany coat and Dustyn jacket, both featuring ruffles on the shoulders that form Chlo\u00e9\u2019s inimitable winged silhouette, and the Hadrien cape.<\/p>\n<p>Not just clothing though, this collection also features accessories made by Chlo\u00e9 but with Barbour materials. There are two models of the Edith bag \u2013\u00a0<em>medium and large<\/em>\u00a0-, the Mallo and Noua boots, a square silk scarf and a hat.
